Recently, HomesUSA.com™ CEO Ben Caballero1 sat down with real estate agent Lynn Beaurline2, a Top Producing Realtor in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area to talk about what builders can do to generate more agent sales.
Lynn says, “To make it easy for agents to sell your homes, the three most important things ways to do that are the following:”
- Accurate Listing Data
According to Lynn, “Agents and their clients must be able to rely on your listing data. I lose time when prices, completion dates, and availability are incorrect. It also causes a loss of credibility with my clients. If a builder’s listings tend to be inaccurate, I will not show their homes.”
- A friction-less way to show new homes
Lynn says, “Use CSS. Most builders don’t know it, but CSS and the MLS are very integrated. We (agents) use it to select the homes to show and schedule showing times. CSS sends us a list with lockbox codes and pet information. It even tells me the most efficient route to use when showing the homes.”
- The ability to quickly schedule showings:
Lynn also mentions, “I highly recommend lockboxes, sometimes sales counselors are busy, or I need to show a home before 10 AM or on a Sunday before 12 noon. Knowing there is a lockbox on a home will increase the likelihood that I’ll show it.”
Lynn concludes, “Failure of any of the above will damage your brand with agents and cause them to skip showing your homes.”
